FAQ

EICR & landlord certificates — FAQs

How much does an EICR cost?+

From £120 + VAT as a minimum. The final price depends on how many consumer units and circuits are at the property — we’ll confirm once we know the size of your installation.

Are your EICRs valid for landlords and letting agents?+

Yes. We issue professional EICR certificates suitable for landlord compliance, letting agents and insurers. Certificates are produced via industry software (not NAPIT-logoed) and we hold professional indemnity insurance. NAPIT covers our Part P membership.

How long does an EICR take?+

Most domestic EICRs are done in a single visit. Larger properties or those with more than one board may take longer — we’ll give you a clearer idea when you get in touch.

What happens if the EICR finds issues?+

You’ll get a clear report of all the findings. If remedial work is needed, we can estimate that separately so you know what’s required before anything else is booked. We often try to sort out minor issues on site to prevent a return visit.
